Particle Photon/Electron Remote Temperature and Humidity Logger

February 21st, 2016

After how much fun I had building a cheap and simple Spark Core Water Sensor for my sump-pump, I’m now using a Photon (which is half of the price of the Spark Core) for remote temperature and humidity logging for my kegerator (keezer).  For just $24, you can have a remote sensor logging data to, ThingSpeak, Amazon DynamoDB or any HTTP endpoint.

You can see how the whole project on Github.

Great project! I would love to know more about this and if you would like to talk about ThingSpeak and IoT. Thanks!

Well done project! Would like an update for current AWS

I am using your code logging temp & humidity on a particle electron. Have it logging fine to thing speak, but stuck on getting it on AWS. You documented this very well, except now the AWS menus have changed around setting the API end point and I am stuck there. Thanks for any help you can provide!

@Randy – That’s unfortunate. I haven’t gone through the setup process in a while, what settings are you stuck on?
