Greetings! My name is Nic Jansma and I am a software developer focusing on high-performance websites and apps. I currently work at SOASTA as a team lead on mPulse. Previously, I was a Senior Software Development Engineer at Microsoft. I was born in Grand Rapids, MI, and graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Computer Science.
My role at Microsoft started on the Windows Performance Team, where I built and operated a large-scale performance validation infrastructure for Windows Vista and Windows 7. I then moved to the Internet Explorer Performance Team, where I designed and built performance features for IE9 and IE10, and became a founding member of the W3C Web Performance Working Group. I’m currently a Microsoft MVP for Internet Explorer.
For fun, I enjoy video games and photography, love the outdoors, participate in motorsports and relax with friends.
